Term 4

Welcome to the last term of the year and it's a busy one! We have swimming on at the moment three times a week. Everyone is improving in leaps and bounds. Our inquiry is about machines. We have moved loads using levers and ramps and have even made our own wheelbarrows. Some of the students will add their comments along with a picture of their work. Keep on checking!

Open Evening

Last night we did an open evening. We told and showed about what we had been doing. We sang kiwi kids.
We showed the parents round.It was fun.

SPCA Cupcake Day

Today we made and sold cupcakes for the SPCA. We decorated our cup cakes like animals. We are still counting our money but we think we might have raised $200.00. A big thankyou to everyone who donated ingredients.

Are you ready for maths week?



This year maths week is holding an on line challenge. During the challenge we will have access to Mathletics on any computer connected tothe internet. Everyone has a unique username and password. We will be able to practise the maths we are learning at school and to challenge students all over the world to lively and exciting realtime 60 second games. We can earn points for every correctly answered question and battle it out for a place on the Hall of Fame for 20 Top Schools, 50 Top Classes and 100 Top Students.

Museum of Treasures

Our museum was open on Friday the 26 June. Lots of people came to visit us and enjoyed watching two puppet shows and a play. They looked at all our treasures and learnt about why they were special. We also taught people how to play the treasure games we had made. I think everyone did a fabulous job. What do you think?

School Photos

A little reminder about school photos on the 11 June. People in sports teams will need to remember to bring their uniforms. Everyone must remember to bring their smiles.

Cross country

Well done to everyone who completed the cross country race on Thursday. It was a great way to keep warm and everyone tried really hard. Congratulations to Sam, Marilyn and Jason . Good luck for the Tawa Zone races.

SkoolStars is a fast approaching program that is coming on 19 may.This is a program that involves:
- the making of a music video
- the recording of the song
-the use of a green screen
-a performance night on the big screen
-the opportunity to purchase the DVD as a fundraiser for the school at a cost of 20 dollars
You are requested not to wear green clothing or accessories on the day because you will not be seen because of the green screen.
A parents night will be on 4 june at a venue to be confirmed.A notice will be sent out nearer to the date.
